If, like us, you've been glued to the TV watching this years Apprentice then you'll know how hard it is for those wannabe recruits to land that amazing job. But behind all the boardroom tantrums what is Sir Alan, and other business leaders like him, really looking for? John Botten, former head of Eduation Business Partnerships, starts off a new series for us called "You're hired...".
Our summer careers feature takes a look at the amazing opportunities for those thinking about a career in the Built Environment, including interviews with 2 recent grads at Davis Langdon and Amey. For those of you completing GCSE's or Scottish standards then you'll be about to plan your application to uni's. To help, our friends at UCAS have written a 'simple guide to applying' and we've chatted to the admissions team at the University of Bath who have given us some pointers about how to write yourself a place winning personal statement.
As always there is so much more in this edition, too much to write about here, and don't forget to look through our ever growing careers media library for free films about career sectors and interviews with recent grads. We hope that whatever you have planned for this summer you have a great time and best of luck for your GCSE's, Standards, 'A' Levels or Highers.
